Youthful high-energy performance with an impressive falsetto that Jeff Buckley would be proud of!
Following the recent release of their much anticipated first album Counting The Seconds, you may know One Man Boycott from their BBC Introducing in October last year and again in March this year. Saying that, they have been ripping up the live music scene down here now for a while so, if you haven’t seen them yet, this is your chance!
One Man Boycott are a pop-punk four-piece from the remarkable voice of Joe Brewer, guitarist Lewis Chappell, drummer Frank Rawle and bassist Tom Hitchins. Stacked with upbeat energy, which avoids the cliches of the genre, OMB numbers are a uniquely fresh mix of powerful, synth-dripping drive described as “The sound of Summer”, laced with a juicy dash of the dark lurking in the lyrics. It’s a juxtaposition that was entirely deliberate.

North Devon’s Loney are a stunning jazz, soul, latin and funk 5 piece who have shared the stage with Beverly Knight, Toots and the Maytals, Courtney Pine, Soweto Kinch, and De La Soul amongst others!
Since catching Loney’s funky diverse set last year at Mid-Devon’s Lapstock, we’re mighty chuffed to welcome this north Devon band to our inaugural festival! Playing together since 2012, Loney have been cruising with some high altitude circles ever since, sharing stages with numerous international acts.
With their own interpretations of classic and contemporary tracks from Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin to Pharrell Williams, Macy Grey and Emily Sandé, Loney are a real musical treat for any festival aficionado. Full on electric rock funk mixed up with the more intimate acoustic vibes, we know from experience that Loney will deliver a crowd-thrilling set, from the first bar to the last!
Northern Soul & New Wave Mod. Everything from The Jam, The Who and The Small Faces, to Blondie, Buzzcocks and Joe Jackson!
It’s the late 70s, the political scene is unsettled, things are changing. A fusion of subcultures bubbles on the music scene. Mod revival, New Wave and Northern Soul play the sound track of a generation where the vocals, guitar, bass and drums speak their language.
The 5:15 is a tribute to that generation, faithfully recapturing the mood by taking you on a journey through the music of the time. The music that evoked the emotions of anger and revolution which inspired youth up and down the country.
The 5:15 are a young band full of energy and enthusiasm. These young musicians have a love of the music they are playing, and they want to give their tribute to your generation!
Funk, Blues and upbeat grooves from the South West’s premiere Blues Band!
NASTY HABITS are The South West’s Number One Rock, Funk & Blues Band. Covering artists as diverse as Tommy Castro, Coco Montoya, John Mayall, Delbert McClinton and other Blues legends. Add a good helping of up-tempo blues standards and you are set for a stunning night with an awesome groove!
Formed in 2013, the concept behind Nasty Habits is to perform upbeat rock, dance funk and blues from both mainstream and indie artists.
Now-a-days, their repertoire is probably best described as “funky blues” with a rock influence. You’ll recognise a great set from Nasty Habits, with a couple of surprises thrown in, just to keep you on your feet!
Landspeeder were around in various bands during the Britpop boom of the early 90’s.
Having worked in the past with the likes of Kingmaker, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Mock Turtles and Cast, Landspeeder came together through the coincidence of all ending up living in Torrington and decided that 20 years of retirement was plenty, so dusted down their instruments and started playing for fun; it quickly became more serious and the result was a garage-punk-meets-indie sound that they call, for want of anything else, gritpop.
Landspeeder’s first single, the Smartbomb ep, was released at the end of April by EVP and they have been gigging around the country ever since, as well as working on their next single, due in October.
