Cranford Cross Farm is located on the B3227 at St. Giles-in-the-wood.
The festival entrance is on an unnamed lane (postcode EX31 3NE) which runs between the B3232 by Belle Vue Airfield at Huntshaw cross, and the B3227.
From the M5
Exit on to the the A361 towards Barnstaple (dual carriageway) and continue past Tiverton for about 10 miles, taking the left towards South Moulton (B3227). Take care here, there are two exits for the B3227, and you want the second one!
Keep on the B3227 through South Moulton and on to Umberleigh. You will cross the River Taw at Umberleigh and briefly join the;-
A377 at Umberleigh, heading north towards Barnstaple
for about 500 yards, before turning left, back on to the B3227 towards Atherington and Great Torrington.
Once you have been through the small village of Atherington you continue for a further 3 miles as the road rises and dips over the North Devon countryside (the gradient will reach 25%! That’s 1-in-4, in old money!).
Once you have climbed the second of these gargantuan hills, keep going for about a mile until you reach a crossroads signposted Huntshaw & Yarnscombe to the right and Roborough to the left. Turn right here towards Huntshaw & Yarnscombe. The festival entrance is about 100 yards on your left. It will be well sign posted!”
From the North
Your best bet from the north is to get to Barnstaple and either take the A377 towards Crediton or the B3232 to Great Torrington. If you use the A377, make sure to turn right on to the B3227 towards Atherington when you reach Umberleigh and follow the instructions above from Umberleigh.
If you take the B3232, turn right on to the unnamed lane at Huntshaw Cross (by the big telecoms mast) next to Belle Vue Airfield. The entrance to the festival is about three-quarters of a mile along the lane on the right.
From Cornwall and the West (A30 or A39)
Best approach from the west is to get to Torrington (Great Torrington). Take either A30 or A39 and pick up the A386 to Torrington.
Go through the town and follow signs to Barnstaple on the A3232. About a mile out of Torrington turn you will reach the crossroads at Huntshaw Cross (by the big telecoms mast) with Belle Vue Airfield on your right and Huntshaw signposted to the left. Take the unnamed lane on the right next to the airfield.
The entrance to the festival is about three-quarters of a mile along the lane on the right.
